    Market closes higher, Jio Financial Services receives approval from the RBI to convert into a core investment company

    Markets rose in today's trading. Nifty 50 closed at 24,502.15 (186.2, 0.8%) , BSE Sensex closed at 80,519.34 (622, 0.8%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 23,095.45 (90.2, 0.4%). Market breadth is in the red. Of the 2,159 stocks traded today, 803 were on the uptrend, and 1,337 went down.

    Indian indices closed higher after after extending gains throughout the day. The volatility index, Nifty VIX, fell 2% and closed at 13.7 points. Tata Consultancy Services' Q1FY25 net profit fell 3.2% QoQ to Rs 12,040 crore, while revenue rose 1.9% QoQ during the quarter.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed flat. Nifty IT and Nifty Media closed higher. According to Trendlyne’s Sector dashboard, Software & Services emerged as the top-performing sector of the day, with a rise of 4.4%.

    European indices traded flat or higher, while major Asian indices closed mixed. Most US index futures traded flat, indicating a mixed start to the trading session. US CPI inflation lowers to 3%in June compared to 3.3% in May. Markets expect a interest rate cut in September by the Federal Reserve, following this reduction in inflation.

    • Manappuram Finance sees a long buildup in its July 25 future series as its open interest rises 16.5% with a put-call ratio of 0.6.

    • IT stocks like Coforge, Tata Consultancy Services, MphasiS, and Wipro rise more than 5% in trade. All constituents of the broader Nifty IT index are also trading in the green, helping it to surge to its all-time high of 39,237.7.

    • Sterlite Technologies secures creditors' and shareholders' approval to demerge its global services business, paving the way for separate entity listing and independent growth opportunities.

    • Foreign institutional investors invest Rs 7,043.3 crore in the equity market over the past week, according to Trendlyne's FII dashboard. Index options witness the highest outflow of Rs 37,046.8 crore from foreign investors. Meanwhile, mutual funds are net buyers in the equity market, injecting Rs 1,897.5 crore during the same period.

    • Nomura expects the Centre will lower its FY25 fiscal deficit target to 5% of GDP from 5.1% announced in the interim budget. Despite additional financial demands from key allies (estimated at around 0.2% of GDP), the Centre will likely manage its fiscal space effectively with a higher RBI dividend (~0.4% of GDP) and a lower FY24 fiscal deficit (~0.2% of GDP). Nomura anticipates no reduction in market borrowing despite the potential fiscal deficit cut.

    • Motilal Oswal retains its 'Buy' call on Hindalco Industries with an upgraded target price of Rs 800 per share. This indicates a potential upside of 15.5%.     Nifty 50 closed at 24,315.95 (-8.5, 0.0%) , BSE Sensex closed at 79,897.34 (-27.4, 0.0%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 23,005.25 (27.6, 0.1%). Market breadth is in the green. Of the 2,161 stocks traded today, 1,282 were on the uptick, and 856 were down.

    Indian indices closed flat after switching between losses and gains throughout the day. The volatility index, Nifty VIX, fell 3% and closed at around 14 points. Ahluwalia Contracts (India) closed 3.6% higher as it secured a Rs 893.5 crore order from the Airports Authority of India to develop Lal Bahadur International Airport in Varanasi.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the red taking cues from the benchmark index. S&P BSE India Infrastructure and Nifty Low Volatility 50 were among the top index gainers today.     Nifty 50 closed at 24,433.20 (112.7, 0.5%) , BSE Sensex closed at 80,351.64 (391.3, 0.5%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 23,067.35 (96.2, 0.4%). Market breadth is holding steady. Of the 2,169 stocks traded today, 1,041 showed gains, and 1,111 showed losses.

    Indian indices extended their gains from the afternoon session and closed at an all-time highs. The Indian volatility index, Nifty VIX, rose 5%and closed at 14.3 points. Maruti Suzuki closed higher following the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to waive registration fees on hybrid cars to promote green technology.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the green, taking cues from the benchmark index. Nifty Auto and Nifty Pharma were among the top index gainers today. According to Trendlyne’s Sector dashboard, Automobiles & Auto Components emerged as the best-performing sector of the day, with a rise of 1.7%.

    Nifty 50 closed at 24,323.85 (21.7, 0.1%) , BSE Sensex closed at 79,996.60 (-53.1, -0.1%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 22,987.65 (73.5, 0.3%). Market breadth is in the green. Of the 2,178 stocks traded today, 1,240 were on the uptrend, and 919 went down.

    Indian indices closed flat after switching between losses and gains throughout the day. The volatility index, Nifty VIX, fell 1.2% and closed at 12.7 points. Rail Vikas Nigam touched an all-time high of Rs 498.5 as it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) to participate in upcoming projects in India and abroad as a project service provider.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the green. Nifty FMCG and Nifty PSU Bank closed higher.  According to Trendlyne’s Sector dashboard, Oil & Gas emerged as the top-performing sector of the day, with a rise of 2.2%.

    Nifty 50 closed at 24302.15 (15.7, 0.1%) , BSE Sensex closed at 80049.67 (62.9, 0.1%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 22914.20 (63, 0.3%). Market breadth is in the green. Of the 2177 stocks traded today, 1138 showed gains, and 1014 showed losses.

    Indian indices closed in the green, after seeing volatility throughout today's trading. The Indian volatility index, Nifty VIX, fell 2.7% and closed at 12.8 points. Mazagon Dock surged to it's all-time high of Rs 5,550 per share after it secured the 'Navratna' status. With this the company has joined the Rs 1 lakh crore market capitalization club.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the green taking cues from the benchmark index. Nifty High Beta 50 and S&P BSE SME IPO were among the top index gainers today. According to Trendlyne’s Sector dashboard, Healthcare Equipment & Supplies emerged as the best-performing sector of the day, with a jump of over 2.8%.

    Asian indices closed in the green while European indices are trading higher. US index futures traded flat, indicating a cautious start to the trading session. Brent crude oil futures are trading down by 0.4% as the soft U.S. economic data raised some concerns over long-term demand.

    Nifty 50 closed at 24286.50 (162.7, 0.7%) , BSE Sensex closed at 79986.80 (545.4, 0.7%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 22851.20 (173.4, 0.8%). Market breadth is in the green. Of the 2176 stocks traded today, 1348 were on the uptrend, and 807 went down.

    Indian indices closed in the green, after seeing volatility throughout today's trading. The Indian volatility index, Nifty VIX, fell 3.1%and closed at 13.21 points. Rail Vikas Nigam closed higher after winning a modification work order worth Rs 132.6 crore from Central Railway to upgrade the existing electric traction system in Nagpur.

    Nifty Smallcap 100 and Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the green, taking cues from the benchmark index. Nifty Private Bank and Nifty Financial Services were among the top index gainers today. According to Trendlyne’s Sector dashboard, Hardware Technology & Equipment emerged as the best-performing sector of the day, with a rise of 5.9%.

    • Motilal Oswal keeps its 'Buy' rating on Kalpataru Projects with a higher target price of Rs 1,385 per share. This indicates a potential upside of 20.3%. The brokerage believes the company's merger with JMC Projects will help to enter large and complex projects. It expects the company's revenue to grow at a CAGR of 16.7% over FY25-26.

    • Morgan Stanley reportedly retains its 'Overweight' rating on Reliance Industries with a target price of Rs 3,046 per share.     • Larsen & Toubro's hydrocarbon business secures an order worth Rs 1,000-2,500 crore from ONGC for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) of 129 km of subsea pipelines and associated modification works across ONGC’s offshore fields on India’s west coast.

    • Alembic Pharmaceuticals is rising as it receives approval from the US FDA for its Bosutinib tablets. The tablets, used to treat a certain type of leukemia, have an estimated annual sales of $275 million in the US.

    • Godrej Properties rises sharply as it announces the development of an 11-acre land parcel in Pune and a 7-acre parcel in Bengaluru. The Pune project will include Group Housing and High Street Retail, while Bengaluru will feature a high-end residential project with a combined revenue potential of nearly Rs 3,000 crore.

    • Kotak Institutional Equities initiates coverage on J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals with a 'Buy' rating and a target price of Rs 2,025. The brokerage believes the stock will trade at a premium compared to its competitors, helped by a strong market share in its core brands and robust contract manufacturing capabilities. It also highlights the company has limited exposure to the US, EU, and other regulated markets.

    • Escorts Kubota's total wholesales fall 2.6% YoY to 9,593 units in June, due to a 59.7% YoY decrease in exports. The company's domestic wholesales increase marginally.

    • NMDC lowers iron ore lump and fine prices by 7% and 9% to Rs 5,950 and Rs 5,110 per tonne, respectively. The industry anticipated a larger cut of Rs 700-800 per tonne, compared to Rs 500 per tonne.
