    Markets close lower, Force Motors' total wholesales rise 2.2X YoY

    Nifty 50 closed at 15,817.70 (-16.7, -0.1%) , BSE Sensex closed at 52,861.18 (-18.8, -0.0%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 13,575.75 (-10, -0.1%)

    Market breadth is in the red. Of the 1,749 stocks traded today, 728 were on the uptrend, and 1,002 went down.

    • Info Edge (India) will acquire a 100% stake in Axilly Labs for Rs 21 crore. Axilly Labs offers technical assessment services for recruitment and learning purposes to clients via its platform DoSelect.

    • Suzlon Energy, Teamlease Services, JK Cement, Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare, and Blue Dart Express are trading with higher delivery volumes compared to Monday.

    • Axis Securities maintains a 'Buy' rating on Federal Bank with a 15% target price upside, citing bank's strong franchise, increasing retail focus, adequate capitalization, and better-rated borrowers.

    • Wonderla Holidays is rising as the company's resort in Bangalore opens with 50% capacity. The company said the amusement park will remain closed.

    • Religare Enterprises' shareholders approve the financial services company's plans to raise Rs 570 crore through a preferential allotment of shares.

    • InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo Airlines, and SpiceJet are trading higher as the Ministry of Civil Aviation raises passenger airlines' flight capacity to 65% from 50%.

    • Axis Direct maintains a "Buy" rating on NOCIL with a 15% target price upside citing a revival in demand for rubber produces from automobile makers in Q2FY22.

    • Godawari Power and Ispat hits the upper circuit after the company becomes debt-free by repaying outstanding long-term debt worth Rs 457 crore.

    • Nesco is trading in the green with 36 times its average weekly trading volume. Adani Total Gas, Sumitomo Chemical India, and Suzlon Energy are trading with more than eight times their average weekly trading volume.

    • AU Small Finance Bank trades higher after their Q1FY22 loans rise 30.7% YoY to Rs 34,688 crore, with deposits up by 38.4% to Rs 37,014 crore. The private bank's current and savings account (CASA) ratio for Q1FY22 was 26% compared to 14% in Q1FY21.

    • NMDC is falling as the central government proposes to sell 11.7 crore shares (4% stake) in the mining company at a floor price of Rs 165 per share through an offer for sale.

    • Tata Motors trades higher after the company plans a price hike in passenger vehicles to mitigate higher input costs. The price increase and the time frame will be announced shortly. The company had raised prices by around 1.8% in May 2021.

    • IDFC First Bank's Q1FY22 loans rise 9% YoY to Rs 1.1 lakh crore, with deposits up by 35.5% to Rs 84,583 crore. The private bank's current and savings account (CASA) ratio for the quarter was 51%.

    • Force Motors' total wholesales rise 2.2X YoY to 1,925 units in June 2021. Domestic wholesales doubles to 1,501 units, and exports more than triples to 424 units in the month.

    • Nifty 50 was trading at 15,848.85 (14.5, 0.1%) , BSE Sensex was trading at 52,935.34 (55.3, 0.1%) while the broader Nifty 500 was trading at 13,605.00 (19.3, 0.1%)

    • Market breadth is surging up. Of the 1,677 stocks traded today, 1,178 showed gains, and 467 showed losses.

    Largecap and midcap gainers today include Au Small Finance Bank Ltd. (1,114.45, 8.16%), Adani Transmission Ltd. (957.00, 5.35%) and Adani Total Gas Ltd. (918.10, 4.99%).

    Downers:

    Largecap and midcap losers today include Tata Motors Ltd. (316.95, -8.42%), Tata Motors Limited (DVR) (148.00, -5.28%) and Biocon Ltd. (388.95, -3.58%).

    Movers and Shakers

    Top high volume gainers on BSE included Force Motors Ltd. (1,433.85, 18.05%), JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. (649.55, 8.38%) and VIP Industries Ltd. (422.00, 8.19%).

    Top high volume losers on BSE were Tata Motors Ltd. (316.95, -8.42%), Tata Motors Limited (DVR) (148.00, -5.28%) and Suzlon Energy Ltd. (8.85, -3.80%).

    Nesco Ltd. (641.85, 5.80%) was trading at 73.8 times of weekly average. Heidelberg Cement India Ltd. (259.65, 2.89%) and Adani Total Gas Ltd. (918.10, 4.99%) were trading with volumes 15.5 and 14.2 times weekly average respectively on BSE at the time of posting this article.
