    Upbeat trading today. Nifty 50 closed at 14665.00 (383.8, 2.7%) , BSE Sensex closed at 49797.72 (1197.1, 2.5%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 12065.15 (295, 2.5%)

    • Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) reports Q3 net profits of Rs 2,926 crore, a 65% decline on a YoY basis, and revenue of Rs 11,707 crore, a 42% fall YoY.

    • Saregama Industries is rising as the music label announces a licensing deal with Josh, a short-video streaming application. Sunil Singhania's Abakkus Fund added a 1.3% stake in the company in Q3FY21.

    Budgetwatch:
    • Dividend income payments to real estate investment trusts (REITs) and infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) exempt from TDS.

    • Fiscal deficit for FY21 pegged at 9.5% of GDP. Fiscal deficit for FY22 expected at 6.8%. FY22 gross borrowing target at Rs 12 lakh crore.

    • Tax audit limits increased from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore.

    • Incentives worth Rs 1,500 crore earmarked to promote digital modes of payment.

    • Vanguard's international fund cuts its stake in Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, and Infosys in Q3FY21.

    • Granules India's PAT drops by 10.2% with gross margins down by 4.2% on a QoQ basis. This was because of increased raw materials cost and a change in the product mix, said Granules India's executive director Priyanka Chigurupati.

    • SKF India, TVS Motor Company, Sudarshan Chemical Industries, and Quess Corp are trading with volume at least 2 times the weekly average.

    • Pharmaceutical company Lupin reports a net profit of Rs 438 crore in Q3, against a loss of Rs 835 crore in the year-ago period, with revenues increasing by 5.4% YoY.

    • Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) lists at Rs 25, a discount of 4% against its issue price.

    • Au Small Finance Bank reports Q3 net profits of Rs 480 crore against Rs 190 crore in the year-ago period, with net interest income at Rs 633 crore, a 25% rise YoY.

    • ICICI Securities downgrades its rating on Hindustan Unilever from 'Buy' to 'Hold.' The FMCG company's stock is down by 4.2% in one week.

    • InterGlobe Aviation, the market leader in the airline industry, reports a net loss of Rs 620 crore in Q3 with revenue at Rs 4,910 crore, a 53% YoY decline.

    • Axis Direct ups its recommendation to 'Buy' from 'Hold' on Nippon Life India AMC with a target price at an upside of 14%.

    • Pidilite Industries reports a 29% YoY increase in net profits for Q3 at Rs 447 crore, with revenue increasing by 19.3% annually to Rs 2,299 crore.

    • Markets rise on early trading, Nifty 50 was trading at 13907.85 (90.3, 0.7%) , BSE Sensex was trading at 47108.22 (233.9, 0.5%) while the broader Nifty 500 was trading at 11519.20 (76.7, 0.7%)
