New charts, and launching delivery analysis

We have been pushing improvements to Trendlyne, and you should have seen two big changes over the past week. 

Charts, charts, more charts!

For easy analysis, on every screener table and stock page there is now a small chart icon next to each indicator. This means that the indicator can be clicked on to see the historical chart.

Such history is now available for nearly all parameters on Trendlyne, for subscribers.

For example, see the icon on the PE indicator of the Granules India stock page when you hover on the number:

We have also launched detailed Delivery Analysis for every stock. You can now also do delivery analysis while combining exchange data:

Markets close lower, Nifty below 11,550; banking and auto stocks fall

Nifty 50 closed at 11527.45 (-7.6, -0.1%) , BSE Sensex closed at 38990.94 (-95.1, -0.2%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 9534.65 (16.3, 0.2%)

Market breadth is in the green. Of the 1659 stocks traded today, 883 were in the positive territory and 713 were negative.

  • HDFC Securities gives a buy rating to JK Cement and a reduce rating to Jubilant Foodworks.

  • ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Axis Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank are falling as banking stocks turn red in a declining market.

  • Kajaria Ceramics receives a 'BUY' from Edelweiss owing to the tile manufacturer's "unwavering brand focus, new designs and robust distribution."

  • Asahi India Glass, Finolex Industries, Varroc Engineering and Advanced Enzyme Technologies are trading in the green with trading volume higher than their weekly average.

  • Tata Consumer Products, AstraZeneca Pharma, Adani Gas and Jubilant Foodworks are among the top stocks to hit fresh 52-week highs.

  • Spicejet, InterGlobe Aviation, Jet Airways are leading the charge for airline stocks as the government allows domestic flights to operate at 60% capacity.

  • Vodafone Idea is rising as reports emerge of American wireless carrier Verizon Communications and e-commerce major Amazon looking to invest $4 billion for a stake in the telecom company.

  • Dish TV is on the rise as the Zee Group and Videocon Group owned satellite service provider reports a net profit of Rs. 74.5 crore for Q1FY21, against a net loss or Rs. 35.4 crore for the same period last year.

  • Nifty 50 was trading at 11552.15 (17.2, 0.2%) , BSE Sensex was trading at 39138.68 (52.7, 0.1%) while the broader Nifty 500 was trading at 9545.85 (27.5, 0.3%)

  • Market breadth is overwhelmingly positive. Of the 1510 stocks traded today, 959 were on the uptick, and 459 were down.

Largecap and midcap gainers today include Vodafone Idea Ltd. (12.55, 26.77%), Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. (71.25, 12.29%) and Bharti Infratel Ltd. (218.50, 11.45%).

Downers:

Largecap and midcap losers today include Future Retail Ltd. (118.40, -10.00%), Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (139.30, -4.10%) and Godrej Industries Ltd. (450.70, -3.14%).

Crowd Puller Stocks

Top high volume gainers on BSE included Aditya Birla Capital Ltd. (71.25, 12.29%), United Breweries Ltd. (1155.25, 6.52%) and Jamna Auto Industries Ltd. (44.60, 6.44%).

Top high volume losers on BSE were Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. (238.15, -7.91%) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (233.35, -5.98%).

Gateway Distriparks Ltd. (100.00, 5.93%) was trading at 7.5 times of weekly average. MindTree Ltd. (1205.80, 0.98%) and Finolex Industries Ltd. (523.95, 3.72%) were trading with volumes 3.9 and 3.7 times weekly average respectively on BSE at the time of posting this article.

Five Interesting Stocks Today
  1. RBL Bank: This Mumbai-based bank’s CEO and MD sold 18.92 lakh shares valued at Rs. 38.5 crore. The private-sector bank saw a 47.1% drop in profits in Q1 FY21.

  2. Aavas Financiers: This housing finance company saw four bulk deals on August 31, including the sale of 25.5 lakh shares or 3.27% equity valued at Rs. 365 crore by its PE Promoter Partner Group. 5.2 lakh shares were picked up by Nomura Investment Fund Mother Fund and New World Fund INC each at an average share price of 1,410 per share.

  3. Essel Propack: This packaging company, backed by the Blackstone Group has seen its price increase by 103% since March, reaching an all time high in the process and has recently entered the health, hygiene and hand sanitizer market.

  4. Petronet LNG: This energy company is in the buy zone per its PE and it saw a higher than expected earnings against analysts’ estimates for its April to June quarter. The stock’s price is now only 9.6% off its pre-pandemic price, despite the energy industry being hit hard.

  5. PNC Infratech: This construction engineering company saw a 28.3% drop in consolidated net revenue for the previous quarter but top brokerages including HDFC Securities, Arihant Capital, Nirmal Bang Institutional and ICICI Securities have given it a BUY in the past week.
