Tata Consumer Products (TATACONS) reported 17% revenue growth in 4QFY25, while EBIT declined 9% YoY. EBIT was affected by higher input costs (tea cost inflation) in Indian branded business, which declined 25% YoY, and a 4% EBIT drop in international branded beverage segment.
TCPL’s Q4FY25 numbers were good with consolidated revenue growing by 17.3% y-o-y to Rs. 4,608 crore (12% y-o-y organic revenue growth), with India beverage business revenues growing by 17% y-o-y (9% y-o-y organic growth), India foods business improving 27% y-o-y (organic growth at 17%), international business growing by 5% y-o-y and non-branded business reporting a 25% y-o-y growth.
Havells reported stronger-than-expected Q4FY25, partially led by higher trade inventory up-stocking in air conditioners. There is strong revenue growth of 39% in Lloyd. While there is healthy growth in primary sales, the company believes there is a possibility for slowdown in secondary sales in Q1FY26.
FY25 has been weak for the bank marked by elevated stress in unsecured retail loans resulting in a sharp increase in credit costs, higher interest rates and tight liquidity. Q4 earnings missed estimates led by accelerated provisioning on account of the stress in unsecured loans, yet PCR improved.
Havells India (HAVL)’s 4QFY25 revenue grew 20% YoY to INR65.4b (5% beat), led by better-than-expected growth in the Lloyd/C&W segments. Higher margins in the Lloyd and ECD segments have resulted in ~19% YoY EBITDA growth to INR7.6b (+17% vs. our est.).
AU Small Finance Bank (AUBANK) posted a 4QFY25 PAT of INR5.04b (7% beat; -5% QoQ), amid better other income partly offset by higher provisions. NII grew 3.5% QoQ to INR20.9b (in line), while NIM contracted 6bp QoQ to 5.8%, primarily on account of a change in asset mix.
In the current volatile markets, Solar Industries’ (SOIL) stock has outperformed its peers. Its traditional India business continues to be on a stable footing and the exports and overseas segment is also expanding.
