Markets fell in today's trading. Nifty 50 closed at 16985.20 (-263.2, -1.5%) , BSE Sensex closed at 57,011.74 (-889.4, -1.5%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 14,673.15 (-263.3, -1.8%)

  • Supriya Lifesciences' Rs 700-crore IPO gets bids for over 5.69X of its available 1.45 crore shares on offer. Retail investors bid for over 25.3X their quota of 14.5 lakh shares on the second day of bidding. The offer comprises of a fresh issue of Rs 200 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 500 crore.

  • HP Adhesives’ Rs 126-crore IPO gets bids for 20.9X of the available 25.28 lakh shares on offer on the last day of bidding. Retail investors bid for 81.1X the quota of 4.6 lakh shares. The offer comprises a fresh issue of Rs 113.44 crore and an offer for sale of Rs 12.53 crore.

  • Bharti Airtel prepays Rs 15,519 crore deferred liabilities for spectrum it acquired in 2014. This will help the company save interest costs to the tune of Rs 3,400 crore.

  • IT stocks like Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Infosys, Wipro and Mphasis rise in trade as investors are enthused by the prospects of the sector post Accenture's revenue growth guidance upgrade to 19-22% from 12-15%. Accenture sees strong global demand for cloud transformation services.

  • HWIC Asia Fund, an affiliate of Fairfax Financial Holdings, sells 40.51 lakh shares or 4.6% stake in IIFL Wealth Management for an average price of Rs. 1,428.2. This marks the complete exit of the fund from the company.

  • BREP Asia II, an affiliate of funds led by Blackstone Group, purchases 1.04 crore shares (2.35% stake) in Indiabulls Housing Finance for Rs 274.9 crore in a bulk deal on Thursday.
