Markets close higher, ITC's Q4 net profit falls by 2.6% YoY

  • Muthoot Finance trades higher as its Q4 revenue rises 18.4% YoY to Rs 3,119 crore and net profit rises 22.5% YoY to Rs. 1,023.8 crore.

  • TVS Motor Company is trading lower as it reports total two-wheeler wholesales of 1.5 lakh units in May 2021, a 32% fall MoM. Export sales were at 1.02 lakh units an 8% rise MoM, and domestic sales were 52,084 units, a 60% fall. Three-wheeler sales were 12,473 units, a 2.5% drop MoM.

  • Eicher Motors reports Royal Enfield wholesales of 27,294 units in May 2021, a 48.8% MoM fall. Domestic wholesales fell by 59% whereas the exports rose by 60% on MoM basis.

  • HDFC mutual fund adds a 2.1% stake in Power Mech Projects in Q1FY22. It now holds 7.1% of the company worth Rs 64.3 crore.

  • Eicher Motors reports VECV wholesales of 1,223 units in May 2021, a 43% MoM fall. Trucks and bus domestic wholesales fell by 58% and exports fell by 4% MoM.

  • Gujarat Gas hits a 52 week high as its Q4 revenues rise by 28% YoY to Rs 3,489 crore, with a 40% growth in net profits to Rs 351 crore.

  • Tata Motors' domestic wholesales fall 38% MoM to 24,552 units in May 2021. In the domestic market, PV wholesales fell 40% and CV wholesales fell by 35%. CV exports were lower by 8% MoM.

  • ITC’s Q4FY21 consolidated net profits fall 2.6% YoY to Rs 3,755.4 crore and revenues rise by 20% to Rs 14,921.7 crore.

  • Nifty 50 was trading at 15,502.50 (-72.4, -0.5%) , BSE Sensex was trading at 51,716.03 (-218.9, -0.4%) while the broader Nifty 500 was trading at 13,186.50 (-23.9, -0.2%)
