Markets close lower, Aurobindo Pharma's Q4 net profit falls 5.6% YoY

Nifty 50 closed at 15568.05 (-14.8, -0.1%) , BSE Sensex closed at 51934.88 (-2.6, 0%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 13214.65 (-11.7, -0.1%)

  • Ashok Leyland is trading lower as it reports CV wholesales of 2,738 units in May 2021, a 65.6% MoM fall. The medium & heavy CV wholesales fell by 62% and light CV wholesales fell by 69.2% respectively.

  • Bajaj Holdings & Investment, Schaeffler India, and Gujarat Fluorochemicals are trading with higher delivery volumes compared to Monday.

  • Mahindra & Mahindra is trading lower as it reports total automobile wholesales of 17,447 units in May 2021, a 52% fall MoM. Exports fell by 3% to 1,935 units and domestic sales were 15,512, a 55% fall. Tractor sales were 24,184 units, a marginal 0.6% drop YoY.

  • Maruti Suzuki India records total wholesales of 46,555 units in May 2021, a 71% MoM fall from 1.6 lakh units in April 2021. Domestic sales fell by 75.2% and exports fell by 34.7% respectively.

  • Radico Khaitan is trading higher ahead of its Q4 earnings update later today. Whereas ITC, Balrampur Chini Mills, and Gujarat Gas are trading flat ahead of their Q4 earnings update later today.

  • Escorts is trading lower as it reports total tractors wholesales of 6,423 units in May 2021, an 8% fall MoM. Exports were at 265 tractors, an 89.2% rise, and domestic sales were at 6,158, a 4.5% fall.  

  • Narayana Hrudayalaya is trading with 11 times the weekly average trading volume. IRB Infrastructure Developers, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, and JSW Energy are trading in the green with more than four times their average weekly trading volume.

  • Sheela Foam's revenues in Q4FY21 jumps 45% YoY to Rs 749 crore due to a 75% growth in exports, and net profits rise by 84% to Rs 58.4 crore.

  • Bajaj Auto rises as it reports total two-wheeler wholesales of 2.4 lakh units in May 2021, a 31% fall against the previous month, and a 113% growth YoY. Export sales were 1.8 lakh units an 18.6% fall MoM, and domestic sales were 0.6 lakh units, a 52% fall MoM.

  • Aurobindo Pharma’s Q4 net profit falls 5.6% YoY to Rs 801 crore and revenue declines by 2% to Rs 6,079 crore.
