Markets close higher, Carlyle Group to buy a 26% stake in PNB Housing Finance

The market closed on an upbeat note. Nifty 50 closed at 15576.00 (140.4, 0.9%) , BSE Sensex closed at 51937.44 (514.6, 1%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 13224.10 (107.1, 0.8%)
