Markets close higher, Cadila Healthcare's Covid-19 vaccine gets emergency use authorization

  • Societe Generale sells 2.5 lakh shares of Exxaro Tiles for Rs 3 crore in a bulk deal on Friday. In another bulk deal, Nexpact buys 2.4 lakh shares of the company for Rs 2.9 crore.

  • Arvind Fashions raises Rs 439 crore through the issue of equity shares at Rs 218.5 per share. The investors include ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, GP Emerging Markets Fund, The Ram Fund, etc.

  • Nuvoco Vistas Corporation lists at Rs 471 per share, a 17.4% discount to the issue price of Rs 570 per share. The cement maker's IPO comprised of a Rs 1,500 crore fresh issue and an OFS of Rs 3,500 crore.

  • Goldman Sachs buys 9.6 lakh shares of CarTrade Tech for Rs 150.1 crore in a bulk deal on Friday. In other bulk deals, Plutus Wealth and Jupitar India buy 4 lakh shares each for Rs 63.6 crore and Rs 61.4 crore respectively.

  • Markets opened high. Nifty 50 was trading at 16,549.80 (99.3, 0.6%) , BSE Sensex was trading at 55,650.83 (321.5, 0.6%) while the broader Nifty 500 was trading at 14,032.65 (88.7, 0.6%)
