Ashish Kacholia cuts stake in realty company to below 1%

Ashish Kacholia has cut stake in realty company TARC to below 1%, from 2.2% held in Q2FY24. This follows his stake cut in NIIT to below 1% as per recent filings.

Kacholia cuts stake in two companies to below 1%

The ace investor publicly holds 46 stocks and has a net worth of Rs 2,883.9 crore. He added TARC to his portfolio in Q2FY22. Since he added the stock to his portfolio and until the end of Q3FY24, the small-cap company’s stock price rose by 274.9%. In the past year, TARC has outperformed the realty industry by 188.9% points. 

TARC has a medium rank in Trendlyne’s checklist, scoring 43.5%. It has high financial strength, with a Durability score of 65, but has an expensive valuation, scoring 12. It also has a technically bullish momentum with a score of 77. Its PE ratio is at 423.7, high in the industry and currently in the PE sell zone.

Kacholia also reduced his stake in NIIT to below 1% in Q3FY24 from 1.9% in Q2FY24. He added the IT training services stocks to his portfolio in Q1FY19. Over the past five years, NIIT’s stock price has risen by 37.1%. The marquee investor purchased a 0.1% stake in houseware products manufacturer La Opala RG, and now holds 1.7%. 

Other superstar changes this Q3 - Sunil Singhania, Porinju Veliyath, Vijay Kedia

Sunil Singhania’s Abakkus Fund publicly holds 28 stocks and his net worth currently stands at Rs  2,755.1 crore. Abakkas added AGI Greenpac (furniture & furnishing company) to its portfolio in Q4FY19, and has held EMS (utilities company) since its listing in Q2FY24. It sold a 0.3% stake in AGI Greenpac in Q3FY24 and currently holds 1.1%. It also sold a 0.35% stake in EMS and now holds 1.35% of the company.

Porinju Veliyath publicly holds 14 stocks with a current net worth of over Rs 232.3 crore. He bought an additional 1% stake in IT consulting and software company Aurum Proptech in Q3FY24 and now holds 4.5%. Since adding the stock to his portfolio in Q3FY22, the stock price has doubled till Q3FY24. 

Vijay Kedia publicly holds 14 stocks and his current net worth stands at Rs 1,400.6 crore. He added Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India to his portfolio in Q1FY22 by buying a 1% stake in the company. He held 1% in the hotels company till Q2FY24 but cut his stake to below 1% in Q3FY24.

Dolly Khanna added Ujjivan Financial Services to her portfolio during the quarter. She bought a 1.1% stake in the finance company in Q3FY24.
