HDFC Bank announced Q3FY25 results Standalone Financial Highlights: The Bank's net revenue grew by 6.3% to Rs 421.1 billion for Q3FY25 from Rs 396.1 billion for the Q3FY24. Net interest income (interest earned less interest expended) for the Q3FY25 grew by 7.7% to Rs 306.5 billion from Rs 284.7 billion for the Q3FY24. Core net interest margin was at 3.43% on total assets, and 3.62% based on interest earning assets. Other income (non-interest revenue) for the Q3FY25 was Rs 114.5 billion as against Rs 111.4 billion in the corresponding quarter ended December 31, 2023. The four components of other income for the Q3FY25 were fees Rs commissions of Rs 81.8 billion (Rs 69.4 billion in the Q3FY24), foreign exchange Rs derivatives revenue of Rs 14.0 billion (Rs 12.1 billion in Q3FY24, net trading and mark to market gain of Rs 0.7 billion (gain of Rs 14.7 billion in the Q3FY24) and miscellaneous income, including recoveries and dividend of Rs 17.9 billion (Rs 15.2 billion in the Q3FY24). Operating expenses for the Q3FY25 were Rs 171.1 billion, an increase of 7.2% over Rs 159.6 billion during Q3FY24. The cost-to-income ratio for the quarter was at 40.6%. Provisions and contingencies for the Q3FY25 were Rs 31.5 billion as against Rs 42.2 billion for the Q3FY24. Profit before tax (PBT) for the Q3FY25 was at Rs 218.5 billion. Profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter was at Rs 167.4 billion. PAT, adjusted for trading & mark to market gains, prior year one-off provisions and prior year tax credits, grew by 13.6% over the Q3FY24. Consolidated Financial Highlights: The Bank's consolidated net revenue was Rs 652.8 billion for Q3FY25. The consolidated profit after tax for the Q3FY25 was Rs 176.6 billion. The consolidated PAT adjusted for trading Rs mark to market gains, prior year one-off provisions and prior year tax credits, grew by 13.1%. The consolidated PAT for 9MFY25 was Rs 519.6 billion.
