Breweries & Distilleries company United Breweries announced Q4FY26 & FY26 results Q4FY26 Financial Highlights: Net Sales stood at Rs 2,248 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs 2,321 crore in Q4FY25, representing a decrease of 3%. Gross Profit increased by 4% to Rs 1,021 crore in Q4FY26 from Rs 977 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Gross Margin for the quarter was 45.4%, showing an improvement of 332 bps compared to the previous year. Other income remained flat at Rs 8 crore. EBITDA declined by 24% to Rs 147 crore in Q4FY26 from Rs 194 crore in Q4FY25. EBIT for the quarter was Rs 71 crore, marking a 48% decrease from Rs 137 crore in the same period last year. Finance costs rose significantly by 395% to Rs 29 crore in Q4FY26 from Rs 6 crore in Q4FY25. Profit before exceptional item and tax was Rs 42 crore, down 68% from Rs 132 crore in the previous year's quarter. The company reported an exceptional item gain of Rs 74 crore in Q4FY26. Profit before tax (PBT) decreased by 12% to Rs 116 crore compared to Rs 132 crore in Q4FY25. Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 4% to Rs 102 crore in Q4FY26 from Rs 97 crore in Q4FY25. FY26 Financial Highlights: Net Sales for the full year FY26 grew by 4% to Rs 9,233 crore compared to Rs 8,907 crore in FY25. Gross Profit increased by 6% to Rs 4,056 crore from Rs 3,831 crore in the previous year. Gross Margin for the year was 43.9%, an improvement of 92 bps over FY25. Other income rose by 25% to Rs 45 crore from Rs 36 crore in the previous year. EBITDA for the year stood at Rs 850 crore, a decrease of 3% from Rs 875 crore in FY25. EBIT for FY26 was Rs 578 crore, down 10% compared to Rs 642 crore in the prior year. Finance costs increased by 458% to Rs 72 crore from Rs 13 crore in FY25. Profit before exceptional item and tax stood at Rs 507 crore, a 19% decline from Rs 629 crore. The company recorded an exceptional item gain of Rs 55 crore for FY26. Profit before tax (PBT) decreased by 7% to Rs 562 crore compared to Rs 603 crore in FY25. Profit after tax (PAT) for the full year was Rs 413 crore, representing a 6% decline from Rs 441 crore in FY25. Business Highlights Volume Performance: Total volume grew by 4.1% in Q4FY26 and 3% for the full year FY26. The beer category witnessed strong performance in Q4FY26, driven by favorable regulatory changes and a weaker-than-usual winter. 80% of markets showed category growth in Q4FY26. Segment Performance: Premium volumes significantly outpaced the rest of the portfolio, growing by 16% in Q4FY26 and 21% in FY26. Strategic Priorities and Innovation: The company continues to focus on being the "category maker" with advocacy for equitable tax on beer. UBL launched "Kingfisher Smooth" as part of its innovation strategy. Focus remains on portfolio re-design to prioritize high-value SKUs and accelerated expansion of in-state premium production. External Impacts: The Middle East War is impacting crude oil prices and disrupting gas supplies, leading to volatility in freight and logistics (Red Sea disruption).
