Stocks that have seen maximum recovery from their year lows: Avanti Feeds, Rain Industries, Adani Transmission

Several stocks over the last months have bounced back like springs from recent year lows, some gaining as much as 350% from their bottoms in share price. Looking at the Maximum Recovery screenerAvanti Feeds and Indiabulls Real Estate are familiar such names in the recovery list and figure at the top, in terms of distance from year lows: Avanti Feeds was at Rs. 411 in December 2016, and has since then climbed 357% to its current share price, while Indiabulls Real Estate jumped 343% from its low in November 2016. 

Adani Transmission is another company that has had some volatile times in the stock market, but is now having a happy summer in the stock markets after a series of acquisitions. It is now 331% up from its share price in September last year. Rain Industries is also seeing better days and analysts are continuing to raise targets after recent results, the company's share price having gained more than 275% over one year. As markets gain, several stocks cross their 200 day average

Gaining stock markets have pushed the share price of multiple big stocks past their 200 day SMA - moving average price over 200 days. The 200 day breakout screenershows stocks including small finance company S E Investments and pharma firm DivisLab having seen big gains today.

Infrastructure company NCC Limited gained sharply as well on high volumes, and coffee company CCL Products has been gaining since news that the RBI approved an increase in the FII/FPI investment limit under portfolio investment scheme from 24 percent to 40 percent. The gainers on high volumes today: IPCA Labs, Bajaj Electricals, Rain Industries, Orient Cement

As the market trades up, some stocks are seeing sharp increases in share price on high volume. Among the big risers today in the High gain, high volume screener is IPCA Labs which is up by over 7% as of this writing. (fun fact: IPCA CEO Premchand Godha is at 70 years, the oldest Chief Executive in a listed company).

Other stocks seeing unusually high volumes and strong gain today include Bajaj Electricals, (5.6X usual volumes) which has been in the news in recent days on growth and distribution expansion plans, as well as Rain Industries (2.2X volumes) and Siemens (4.2X volumes). Some firms like Orient Cement  are witnessing especially high surges, trading at over 80X the usual volumes.
