Opening bell: Markets opened flat, ITC sees block deal

Markets are trading flat today, with weakness in Lupin after JSW Steel replaced it in the Nifty50. Market breadth is balanced. Of the 519 stocks traded today, 278 showed gains, and 197 showed losses. ITC saw 10 lakh shares change hands in a single block deal.

Opening bell: Markets soar in morning trade, J Kumar Infraprojects jumps on Citi initiating coverage

Markets are surging in morning trade, and breadth is neutral. Of the 497 stocks traded today, 276 showed gains, and 188 showed losses. Mumbai-based construction company J Kumar Infraprojects is rising in share price after Citi initiated coverage with a BUY and a target price of Rs. 416. Promoter Welspun Group Master Trust acquired 11.5 lakh shares, of Welspun Ent (0.78 percent equity stake).
