Tata Power wins LoA from SECI to supply 324 MW from Maharashtra project

Tata Power on Monday said it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) to supply 324 MW of power from its 1,000 MW Pumped Hydro Storage Project (PSP) at Bhivpuri in Maharashtra. The project was awarded under SECI's tariff-based global competitive bidding for the supply of 1,500 MW / 12,000 MWh of power from pumped hydro storage projects being set up in the country, a company statement said. The project was secured through an e-reverse auction. It has a 40-year Pumped Storage Purchase (PSP) agreement and is scheduled for commissioning by 2029. The project will be developed under the Build, Own, Operate (BOO) model and will provide 8 hours of energy storage, enabling reliable supply of electricity during peak demand periods. It will be connected to the 765/400 kV South Kalamb Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Substation through the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS). Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) on Friday said it has successfully commissioned its 100.8 MW Jewali Wind Project in Dharashiv district, Maharashtra. The facility will supply electricity to Tata Power Mumbai Distribution, helping compliance with Renewable Purchase Obligation targets and supporting the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible utility, it stated. The project comprises 28 SG 3.6-145 Wind Turbine Generators, based on advanced horizontal-axis wind turbine technology. The facility is expected to generate approximately 299 million units (kWh) of clean electricity annually. Tata Power EV arm expands charging network on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Tata Power on Wednesday said its arm Tata Power EV Charging Solutions has expanded the ultra-fast EV charging network in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. As part of the collaboration, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Ltd (TPEVCSL) has established ultra-fast EV charging stations at the 63rd and 69th milestones on the Haryana stretch of the expressway, a statement said. As part of its expansion on the expressway, TPEVCSL has inaugurated a 240 kW ultra-fast EV charging station with four charging guns at the 63rd milestone for vehicles travelling from Delhi. The company has also installed another EV charging station at the 69th milestone on the opposite carriageway, enabling charging access for travellers commuting in both directions.
