Steel Strips Wheels, which had projected a volume growth of 7% for its fourth quarter, saw a volume contraction in February compared to the same month the previous year.
SSWL achieved totar wheel rim sares of 11.67 lakh in February 2017, compared to 11.84 lakhs in the same month last year, showing a YoY fall of 1% in volumes. The company's plant operated at 100% utilization in February 2017. Export numbers and the 2&3 wheeler segments took a hit, falling 19% and 16% respectively.
