Demonetization effect rumbles through Ashok Leyland sales: Ashok Leyland released its vehicle sales data for December, and it like other auto companies, has been hit, with December sales dragging down numbers for April-December period.
Ashok Leyland's total sales had been up 3% from April-November, but now with December also accounted for, sales are up by just 1% compared to the previous year. Total vehicle sales for December were down 12% compared to last year, with LCV sales down by 20%.
