Bangladesh team skips mosque to hold Friday prayers at hotel in Gwalior

Ahead of its T20 clash with India in Gwalior, the Bangladesh cricket squad did not visit the city's Moti Masjid on Friday and instead, offered prayers at their hotel, a police official said on Saturday. We had made elaborate security arrangements around Moti Masjid but the Bangladesh team did not turn up. No organisation had given any call to disrupt their visit, Gwalior Zone Inspector General Arvind Saxena told PTI over the phone. The mosque in the city's Phoolbagh area is about 3 km from the hotel where the visitors have been put up. Corporate credit robust in H1, 202 issuers got rating upgrades: Ind-Ra

India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) on Tuesday said corporate credit profile continued its robust performance in the first half of the current fiscal with 202 issuers getting rating upgrades. Large corporates and A-rated corporates witnessed a higher number of upgrades in the first half of the fiscal, taking the downgrade-to-upgrade (D/U) ratio to a low at 0.31 for the first half, said Arvind Rao, Head of Credit Policy Group, Ind-Ra. "The corporate credit profile continued its robust performance in 1HFY25, the fourth year in a row. During this period, Ind-Ra upgraded the ratings of 202 issuers, representing 20 per cent of the reviewed portfolio, while the ratings of 62 issuers were downgraded," Ind-Ra said in a statement. Rao further said that the D/U ratio is expected to moderate marginally in the current fiscal, compared to 0.37 in the 2023-24 fiscal. ED surveys Ramprastha Group premises in money laundering case in Gurugram

The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at multiple locations of real estate company Ramprastha Group in Gurugram on Wednesday as part of a money laundering investigation linked to alleged cheating with home buyers, official sources said. The ED case stems from a clutch of FIRs filed by the local police against the company by "disgruntled homebuyers for non-fulfilment of the promise of handing over the (housing) projects to them", the sources said. The projects include Ramprastha Rise, Ramprastha City and Ramprastha SKYZ located in Gurugram, Haryana. There was no response to phone calls made by PTI to the company. ED sources said some promoters of the group like Balwant Chaudhary, Arvind Walia and Sandeep Yadav have been called for questioning but they are yet to join the investigation. Illegal arms suppliers held in Delhi; eight country-made pistols recovered

Delhi Police has arrested two members of an interstate arms supply gang who used social media platforms for their dealings, officials said on Sunday. According to police, the accused used to procure the arms from Khargone in Madhya Pradesh which they supplied in Delhi/NCR. The accused have been identified as Arvind Kumar (45) and Vinod Kumar (48) from Uttar Pradesh and eight countrymade 0.32 bore pistols recovered from them, police said. Police received a tip-off on August 19 that two arm traffickers would be reaching Agra canal road in Jaitpur to deliver a consignment of illegal fire arms, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (special cell) Amit Kaushik said. Based on the tip-off, a police team was formed which laid a trap near Canal road and the duo was apprehended. Eight pistols were recovered from them, Kaushik said.
