This is in continuation to our letter dated 09.11.2019 and subsequent communications with respect to the Scheme of Amalgamation between Nabinagar Power Generating Company Limited, Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited (wholly owned subsidiaries of NTPC ) and NTPC Limited . In this regard, we would like to inform that NTPC had filed a Petition with the Hon''ble Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 28.04.2022 for sanction of the Scheme of Amalgamation. We would further like to inform that the petition is fixed for hearing on 29.06.2022 before the MCA at 3.30 P.M. . As per the directions of the MCA, NTPC advertised the notice of hearing of the petition in all India editions of Financial Express, Indian Express and Jansatta (Hindi) on 18.06.2022. The newspaper clippings are enclosed for your information and records.

In line with the corporate disclosure requirement under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations 2015, we wish to inform that : In pursuance of Article 41 of the Articles of Association of NTPC Limited, Ministry of Power acting on behalf of the President of India, has, vide order no. 8/6/2018-Th.I dated 30th May, 2022, appointed Shri Piyush Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power as Government Nominee Director on the Board of NTPC Limited till his tenure in Ministry of Power or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Pursuance to Article 41A of the Articles of Association of NTPC and Section 161(1) of the Companies Act, 2013, Shri Piyush Singh has been appointed as Additional Director (Govt.
