Pharmaceuticals company Strides Pharma Science announced Q1FY27 results Consolidated Financial Highlights: Revenue from operations for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 12,654.07 million, reflecting a YoY growth of 13.01% from Rs 11,197.36 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ decline of 4.39% compared to Rs 13,234.70 million in Q4FY26. Total Income reached Rs 12,702.97 million in Q1FY27, marking a YoY increase of 12.58% against Rs 11,283.19 million in Q1FY26, while showing a QoQ decrease of 4.60% from Rs 13,315.98 million in Q4FY26. Profit before exceptional items and tax for Q1FY27 was reported at Rs 1,377.04 million, representing a YoY rise of 5.67% from Rs 1,303.11 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ decrease of 10.00% from Rs 1,530.07 million in Q4FY26. Profit before tax for the quarter was Rs 2,009.01 million, a YoY growth of 64.75% compared to Rs 1,219.44 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ growth of 37.04% compared to Rs 1,466.02 million in Q4FY26. Standalone Financial Highlights: Revenue from operations reached Rs 5,826.48 million in Q1FY27, representing a YoY increase of 16.85% from Rs 4,986.16 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ decline of 3.81% from Rs 6,057.35 million in Q4FY26. Total Income for Q1FY27 was reported at Rs 5,841.23 million, up 16.74% YoY from Rs 5,003.74 million in Q1FY26 and down 4.20% QoQ from Rs 6,097.05 million in Q4FY26. Profit before tax for the quarter stood at Rs 847.58 million, marking a YoY growth of 416.72% over Rs 164.03 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ growth of 219.74% over Rs 265.08 million in Q4FY26. Profit for the period/year reached Rs 729.28 million in Q1FY27, a YoY growth of 446.40% compared to Rs 133.47 million in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 345.96% compared to Rs 163.53 million in Q4FY26. Total Comprehensive Income for Q1FY27 was Rs 961.84 million, a YoY growth of 1,224.85% from Rs 72.60 million in Q1FY26. Business Highlights: Restructuring and Demerger: The demerger of the Life Sciences and Digital Innovation business of Arco Lab Private Limited (a subsidiary) into Pivot Path Private Limited became effective on June 1, 2026. On June 27, 2026, the Board approved the dilution of the Group's controlling stake in Pivot Path to 19.95% for a consideration of Rs 1,000 million. This transaction resulted in a net gain of Rs 742.07 million (Consolidated) and Rs 764.01 million (Standalone), which has been recognized as an exceptional item. Product Recalls and Legal Provisions: The Group recorded provisions and expenses related to product recalls and litigations for Ranitidine, Losartan, and Testosterone. For Q1FY27, the consolidated exceptional items include Rs 110.10 million for product recall and settlement expenses. The Group maintains provisions of Rs 95.78 million specifically for testosterone recall-related evaluated settlements and expenses. Dividend: The Board of Directors has proposed a final dividend of Rs 5 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, resulting in a cash outflow of approximately Rs 461 million, subject to shareholder approval. Investment Property Sale: During FY26, the Company sold an investment property (land and building) for Rs 1,128.70 million, recording a profit of Rs 1,021.43 million as other income. Our investments in Ex-US Markets over the past few years are now yielding strong results, delivering 17% YoY growth and reinforcing the strength of our diversified business strategy. Our focus on execution and operating discipline enabled us to grow absolute gross margins by 14% YoY. EBITDA grew ~5% YoY to Rs 2,298 million, despite ~Rs 131 million impact from elevated operating and freight cost arising from the ongoing geopolitical situation. We remain focused on mitigating these pressures through continuous cost optimization initiatives. We reduced net debt by Rs 119m, with Net Debt-toEBITDA at 1.52x, despite significant working capital investments required to navigate the current business environment and growth. During the quarter, we unlocked Rs 1,000m of value through the divestment of our majority stake in Pivot Path, our captive GCC, while retaining meaningful participation in its future growth. We also improved our EcoVadis sustainability score to 68/100, a 19-point increase over last year.
