The company was incorporated in 1988 and largely involved in transhipment and costal shipping of containers across the Indian coastline. Shreyas operates in two key business segments i.e. shipping (coastal & transhipment) and logistics (via its wholly owned subsidiary Shreyas Relay Systems). With a fleet size of nine vessels, Shreyas operates with a total capacity of 13567 TEUs (192782 metric tons of DWT). The company operates in three major routes across the Indian coast, which includes a round trip from west to east coast (PIX-2), only western (WCC and PIX-1) and only eastern coast (ECC). In FY16, Shreyas reported consolidated sales of | 595 crore, of which shipping generated ~| 313 crore and Shreyas Relay Systems generated | 283 crore. With its pure play in coastal shipping, we believe the company is well positioned to benefit from the government's sincere efforts to increase the current share of coastal shipping from 7% to 10% by 2020.
