Tatva Chintan Pham Chem Ltd (TCPCL) reported revenue of INR 1,206 Mn, (+15% YoY/+34% QoQ), led by improved offtake in SDA segment in this quarter. EBITDA reported at INR 1179Mn (-25% yoy / +60% qoq). EBITDA margin was 14.9% compared to 12.4% in Q2FY23 and 22.7% in Q3FY22. EBITDA margin has effected during the quarter due to higher prices of solvents and commodities and adverse currency fluctuations across various geographies, which is partially offset by decline in power and fuel costs.

Tatva Chintan’s Q3FY23 revenue rose 15% YoY / 34% QoQ to Rs1.2bn as SDA revenue recovered to Rs0.6bn, up 6.4% YoY / 5.7x QoQ. However, non-SDA segments, which hitherto performed well, dipped QoQ. The disappointment come from an 800bps QoQ contraction in gross profit margin to 43.8% due to higher bromine and solvent prices, which have subsequently corrected.
