HPL is a leading player in the domestic electric equipment manufacturing segment. It manufactures diverse portfolio of electric equipment, including, metering solutions, switchgears, lighting equipment and wires and cables. The company serves both the institutional and retail customers in the electric equipment industry. HPL had the largest marketshare in the electricity energy meters market in India in FY15, with one of the widest portfolios of meters. It also had the fifth largest market share for LED lamps during FY15.
