Adani Power announced net losses of Rs. 325 crore for its Q3FY17, compared to profits of Rs. 104 crore in the comparable quarter the previous year. The company also saw its consolidated earnings fall marginally from Rs. 6,211 crore in Q3 the previous year, to Rs. 5,873 crore in the current period.

The company's CEO Vineet Jain has called the business challenges impacting profitability "temporary deterrants" but didn't give a clear timeline by which the issues the company says its experiencing - lower power demand, and weak domestic fuel linkages - will be resolved.
