HCC wins Rs. 368 crore contract to build longest ever cable-stayed bridge for Indian Railways

Hindustan Construction Company has won a Rs. 368.6 crore contract from IRCON for the construction of a cable-stayed bridge in J&K. Expected to span 290 metres, this will be the longest ever cable-stayed bridge built for the Indian Railways.

The project is to be completed in 36 months, and will connect tunnels on the Katra-Banihal and the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project.
