Jewelry company Goldiam International (which is in ten stock screeners) is gaining post its announcement that it is entering the lab grown diamond space with a focus on exports.
At the recently concluded JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Exhibition, the company says it introduced its launch line of lab-grown diamond jewelry to current and potential new customers. "Lab-grown diamonds are a new & highly disruptive product in the global diamond business," the company said, "they are rapidly gaining appeal among US customers for the value they provide, being at least 50% cheaper than same quality mined diamonds."
Lab-grown diamonds are not yet a mass market category, but enjoys a higher margin than traditional mined-diamond jewelry manufacturing. Goldiam says that it is marketing the product to major jewelry firms across the US in the coming months.
