SI paper leak: Former RPSC member held for providing paper to his children

Former Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Ramuram Raika has been arrested by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police in connection with sub-inspector recruitment paper leak, an official said. The SOG had on Sunday arrested Raika's son and daughter besides three other trainees for their involvement in the paper leak and securing a position in the exam. "The former RPSC member was arrested late on Sunday for providing the sub-inspector recruitment exam paper to his children," ADG SOG VK Singh told PTI on Monday. Raika will be presented before the court on Monday for seeking police remand. All five accused arrested were produced before a court on Sunday from where they were sent for police remand till September 7. According to an official statement, among the arrested trainees include Shobha Raika and her brother Devesh Raima. Champai Soren under own govt 'surveillance' for 5 months: Himanta Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday alleged that Jharkhand minister Champai Soren had been under 'surveillance' of his own government police for last five months. Two sub-inspectors (SIs) of Special Branch of Jharkhand Police were nabbed by Soren's people in a Delhi hotel while they were keeping watch on the ex-chief minister, Sarma said. "This is one of rarest case of surveillance in Indian politics, we will raise it at the highest levels," Sarma said at a press conference here. "As per the two SIs, orders to track Soren came from a 'person in Constitutional position' and the Special Branch chief," Sarma said. He said the two SIs were handed over to Delhi police, who are taking forward the investigation. TVS Mobility group on Monday said its subsidiary SI Air Springs has acquired Italy-based automotive components supplier Roberto Nuti Group, which will help it broaden the product range and strengthen its position in the global market. The pact between the two partners includes the 100 per cent purchase of Roberto Nuti Group by TVS Mobility indirectly, through its wholly-owned Indian subsidiary, SI Air Springs Private Limited and investments appropriate to the full re-launch of the company, TVS Mobility group said in a statement. It also said that both companies will continue to operate normally during the integration period. Six hurt in attack on Samajwadi Party leader Vijay Yadav's residence in UP

Six people, including a six-year-old child, were injured when assailants fired at the residence of Samajwadi Party leader and former corporator Vijay Yadav, police said on Monday. The incident took place in the Dashashavmedh area on Sunday, the police said. According to the police, the SP leader alleged in his complaint that the assailants wanted to kill his entire family. An FIR has been lodged against accused Ankit Yadav, Shobhit Verma, Govind Yadav, Sahil Yadav and other unidentified persons, they said. Among the injured were Nirbhay Yadav (6), Kiran Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Dinesh Yadav and Shubham alias Golu, the police said. All the injured are undergoing treatment in a hospital and are in stable condition, they added. Industry should participate on e-logs platform to raise problems: DPIIT

Industry associations should participate on the e-logs platform and deliberate their issues to help service investment group (SIG) address them on a fast track mode, an official statement said on Thursday. This was suggested to the industry during a meeting of SIG on June 28. It was chaired by Sumita Dawra, the Special Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). During the meeting, major issues impacting the trade were resolved to the satisfaction of all the stakeholders, the DPIIT said. Under the national logistics policy, a new digital platform Ease of Logistics Services ( e-logs) has been started. Through this portal, industry associations can directly take up issues which are causing problems in their operations and performance with government agencies.
