Allcargo names Vaishnav Shetty Deputy MD as part of leadership transition

In a move aimed at facilitating a leadership transition at the Allcargo group, the company on Wednesday elevated Allcargo Global Ltd's Executive Director for North Asia Vaishnav Shetty to the position of Deputy Managing Director and inducted him as a member of the AGL Board of Directors. Vaishnav, the son of group founder and Chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty, will work closely with AGL Managing Director Adarsh Hegde, a statement said. The appointment has been approved by the Board of Directors, it added. AGL, the international supply chain arm of the Allcargo Group, accounts for as much as 80 per cent of the group's revenue. Allcargo Logistics completes demerger of global supply chain business

Allcargo Logistics Limited on Monday announced that the demerger of its international supply chain business as well as the merger of domestic business has become effective from November 1. Under a composite scheme of arrangement, Allcargo Logistics has demerged its international supply chain business into a newly incorporated entity Allcargo Global Limited. Following the demerger, domestic express distribution and consultative logistics businesses will be merged into the resulting Allcargo Logistics Limited, aligning operations for enhanced synergy and value creation, the company said. The scheme of arrangement had received approval from the Mumbai branch of the NCLT on October 10. The board of directors has approved the record date of the transaction as November 12, basis which the share of Allcargo Logistics Limited will trade ex-international business, it said. Allcargo Logistics receives NCLT approval for restructuring plans

Logistics operator Allcargo Logistics on Monday said it has received the NCLT approval for its restructuring plan to demerge its international supply chain business into a new listed entity. Under the approved scheme, the international supply chain business of Allcargo Logistics Limited will be demerged into a new listed entity -- Allcargo Global Limited, according to the company. The domestic express and contract logistics businesses, currently housed under Allcargo Gati, Gati Express & Supply Chain and Allcargo Supply Chain, will be consolidated under the listed company Allcargo Logistics Limited, it added.
