With the markets having been what they were in the past quarter, highly volatile and impacting investor portfolios, it's perhaps not much of a surprise that ICICI Securities (which is in 13 stock screeners) delivered weak growth in Q3, but the scale of its downward performance unsettled investors, driving share price down on high volumes. The company saw negative net profit and revenue growth, and operating profit margins were also sharply down.
Indiabulls Ventures on the other hand, saw a markedly positive performance in Q3, beating estimates and delivering a rare across-the-board green in a quarter where higher costs and tax impacts have hit many companies.
