PM Modi to release 18th instalment of Rs 20,000 crore under PM-KISAN

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release Rs 20,000 crore as the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme on Saturday, benefiting over 9.4 crore farmers across the country. Disbursements will be through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) during an event in Washim, Maharashtra, an official statement said. Maharashtra farmers will receive an additional Rs 2,000 crore under the state's Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana. With the 18th instalment, the total amount disbursed under PM-KISAN will exceed Rs 3.45 lakh crore, supporting more than 11 crore farmers nationwide. The PM-KISAN scheme, launched on February 24, 2019, provides Rs 6,000 annually to landholding farmers in three equal instalments. Maharashtra has received about Rs 32,000 crore in 17 instalments, benefiting around 1.20 crore farmers, the second highest among all states. Govt invites EoI to build multiproduct food irradiation units under PMKSY

The government has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from entrepreneurs for the setting up multiproduct food irradiation units under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY). The last date for submission of EoI/ proposals is September 21, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries said in a statement. The entities are required to submit their proposals online only at https://www.sampada-mofpi.gov.in/ with relevant details under "PRADHAN MANTRI KISAN SAMPADA YOJANA". A financial assistance in the form of grants-in-aid/ subsidy will be provided to the eligible projects under the demand-driven Cold Chain scheme. All proposals are required to be prepared and submitted on or before the due date as per the scheme guidelines.

PM to release Rs 20K cr for farmers during his Varanasi visit on June 18

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on June 18 for the first time after assuming office for a third consecutive term, during which he will release the 17th installment of PM-KISAN scheme amounting to over Rs 20,000 crore for 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers across the country. Modi will also confer certificates to more than 30,000 members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) who have been trained as 'Krishi Sakhis' to work as para-extension workers, supporting fellow farmers with agricultural practices. Briefing the media, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted the government's commitment to the agriculture sector. "Agriculture has always been a priority for the PM in his last two tenures. He took several key decisions in the interest of farmers. PM Modi to release 13th instalment of Rs 16,800cr under PM-KISAN on Monday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 13th instalment of financial benefits worth Rs 16,800 crore to over eight crore eligible farmers under the flagship PM-KISAN scheme on Monday ahead of Holi and rabi harvesting. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), eligible farmers are provided with a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each every four months. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The scheme was launched in February 2019 but is being implemented with effect from December 2018. The Prime Minister will release the 13th instalment at an event to be held at Belagavi, Karnataka, an official statement said on Sunday. More than one lakh attendees, comprising PM-KISAN and Jal Jeevan Mission beneficiaries are expected to take part in the event.
