Adani Group raises Rs 4,850 cr from 13.5% stake sale in Adani Wilmar

Adani Group on Friday raised Rs 4,850 crore from the sale of 13.5 per cent of its stake in Fortune oil maker Adani Wilmar as part of a strategy to exit non-core activities to focus on main infrastructure business. The conglomerate, which last month announced its exit from Adani Wilmar by selling the bulk of its stake to a joint venture partner, had on Thursday announced sale of 17.54 crore shares (13.50 per cent equity) in the company on January 10 (to non-retail investors) and on January 13 (to retail investors) at a floor or minimum price of Rs 275 apiece. The offer for sale (OFS) included an option to additionally sell up to 8.44 crore shares, or 6.50 per cent equity. Thiruvananthapuram airport to undertake runway upgradation work from Jan 14

The international airport here will be carrying out a significant upgrade of its main runway in order to prioritise passenger safety and enhance its overall operational efficiency. The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd (TIAL), managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) which is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, will carry out the recarpeting project from January 14, 2025. The work will be carried out between 9 am and 6 pm everyday with the project scheduled to be completed by March 29, TIAL said in a release on Wednesday. During the project work, airlines operating from the airport will schedule flights prior to 9am and after 6pm, it added. "During this period, the airport will implement a comprehensive plan to ensure the continuity of services and to mitigate any potential inconveniences to passengers and airlines," TIAL said. Adani partners with Thailand's Indorama for petrochemical expansion

Billionaire Gautam Adani's group has teamed up with Thailand's Indorama Resources Ltd for a foray into the petrochemical business as the ports-to-energy conglomerate looks to expand in adjacencies. Adani Petrochemicals Ltd, a subsidiary of the group's flagship Adani Enterprises Ltd, "has completed the incorporation process of a joint venture company namely Valor Petrochemicals Ltd (VPL)... with Indorama Resources Ltd, Thailand," Adani Enterprises said in a stock exchange filing. Adani Petrochemicals and Indorama will hold 50 per cent stake each in the joint venture. "VPL is incorporated with the objective to set up a refinery, petrochemical and chemical business," it said. Adani Petrochemicals was incorporated to set up refineries, petrochemicals complexes, speciality chemicals units, hydrogen and related chemicals plants and other similar units in a phased manner.
