Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Wednesday said the state holds immense potential in every sector, and his government was taking steps towards its industrial development. He also said the Regional Industry Conclave (RIC) will prove to be historic for the Vindhya region of the state. "Madhya Pradesh has immense potential in each and every sector. There are lots of possibilities here," Yadav told PTI before the inauguration of the 5th edition of the RIC organised at Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium in Rewa. MP govt to soon recruit 30K health workers to boost medical services

The Madhya Pradesh government will soon recruit 30,000 health workers, including 3,000 doctors, to strengthen medical services in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said. Once a sufficient number of doctors and paramedical staff are available, the arrangements in the district hospitals as well as community and primary health centres will improve, Shukla said on Sunday. The deputy CM, who holds charge of the state health department, was talking to reporters in Rewa. He said 30,000 health workers, including 3,000 doctors, will be recruited in the state health department soon. Shukla also said that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is organising the Regional Industry Conclave in Rewa on October 23. This will lead to huge investment for industrial development not only in Rewa but in the entire Vindhya region, he said. Rewa Airport gets DGCA approval; will become sixth in Madhya Pradesh

With the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granting operating licence to the airport at Rewa, Madhya Pradesh's Vindhya region will get a much-needed boost to expand economic and regional connectivity, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said. With this, Madhya Pradesh will have six airports, including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Khajuraho, an official said. "The Rewa Airport in the Vindhya region has received the DGCA licence. It will boost economic activity and expand regional connectivity in the state," Yadav said in a release on Monday night. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the airport will prove to be a milestone for the development of the Vindhya region under the motto of 'Developed India-Developed Madhya Pradesh', he said. "The DGCA has granted the licence to commence operations of both passenger and cargo flights," the chief minister said. Mahoba to become first UP district with 100% piped water connections: CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Monday said Mahoba in Bundelkhand region will soon become the state's first district to get piped drinking water in all its households. The Chief Minister made the observations while chairing a high-level meeting to review the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission and Namami Gange project. "Providing pure drinking water in the dry Bundelkhand and Vindhya regions was a dream that is coming true. Now Mahoba is going to be the first district of the state to have tap water supply in every household," Adityanath said at the meeting. Over 8.1 mn tap connections provided in rural households by UP government

The Uttar Pradesh government has provided tap water connections to more than 81 lakh rural households in the state including over 8.30 lakh in Bundelkhand and around 3.50 lakh in Vindhya regions under the Jal Jeevan Mission, according to official data. The latest data sourced from the UP Jal Shakti Ministry showed that the state ranks fourth in the country in terms of providing functional household tap connections (FHTC) under the Jal Jeevan Mission - Har Ghar Jal initiative of the Centre. According to the data, as on February 21, Bihar tops among states having provided 1.59 crore tap water connections, whereas Maharashtra is second with 1.07 crore and Gujarat comes third with 91 lakh connections to rural households. The statistics showed that tap water connections have been provided to altogether 81,87,394 rural households in UP to date. More than 8.30 lakh FHTCs have been provided in Bundelkhand region of the state. This includes tap connections to 96,553 families in Mahoba, 1.41
