BC Jindal Group's JIRE secures 300-MW solar power project from SJVN

BC Jindal Group's renewable energy arm JIRE on Monday said it has secured a 300-MW solar energy project from SJVN Ltd. The project is part of SJVN's 1,200-MW inter-state transmission system-connected solar power projects tender, which also includes 600 MW/2400 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS), according to a statement. Jindal India Renewable Energy (JIRE) won the 300-MW solar-plus-storage project at a tariff of Rs 3.32/kWh, the company said, adding that he project will be developed on a build-own-operate basis. The greenfield project must be completed within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA). A spokesperson of JIRE said in the statement, "We remain focused on expanding our capacity to 5 GW in the coming years across solar, wind, hybrid, RTC, and FDRE platforms." SJVN releases 269.98 cr land compensation for Etalin project in Arunachal

In a significant development for hydro-power development in Arunachal Pradesh, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited has released Rs 269.98 crore as land compensation for the 3,097 MW Etalin hydro-electric project (HEP) in Dibang Valley. The amount was deposited into the joint account of the deputy commissioner and district land revenue and settlement officer (DLRSO) on March 26. This was confirmed during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu in Tawang on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Chief Secretary Manish Gupta, Power Commissioner Sonam Chombay, and other senior officials were present, according to an official communiqu issued on Friday. SJVN Green Energy begins 241.77MW power supply from Bikaner solar project

State-owned power producer SJVN Ltd on Wednesday said that the Phase-1 of the 1,000-MW Bikaner Solar power project, being set up by its arm SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL), has started commercial power supply. The Phase-1 has started 241.77 MW commercial electricity supply, and the project is slated for full commissioning by September 30, 2025, a company statement said. SJVN Green Energy achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) of 241.77 MW capacity in Phase-I of the 1,000 MW Bikaner solar power project on Wednesday, the statement said. Upon completion of the project, SGEL will supply solar power to three states -- Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. The solar project, located in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, is being developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme Phase II, Tranche III of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. Datta Power Infra, SJVN sign agreement for 70 MW wind project in India

Datta Power Infra on Thursday announced signing a power purchase agreement with state-owned SJVN to set up a 70 MW wind energy project. SJVN's WIND-1 initiative aims to develop 600 MW of ISTS-connected (Inter-State Transmission System) wind power projects across India, the company said in a statement. Varchasvi Gagal, Managing Director & CEO of Datta Power Infra, said: "We collaborate with SJVN Limited on this landmark 70-MW wind power project, which is a significant step toward strengthening India's renewable energy ecosystem".
