PTC India shareholders approve appointment of Rajib Kumar Mishra as CMD

PTC India shareholders have approved the appointment of Rajib Kumar Mishra as the company's Chairman and Managing Director with requisite majority votes. According to a regulatory filing, shareholders approved an ordinary resolution to appoint Mishra as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) at the seventh Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on June 28. As per the voting result, 77.71 per cent of votes were in favour of the ordinary resolution and 22.29 per cent against the proposal. Mishra has been appointed as the CMD in PTC India with effect from March 29, 2023. He was named as the Whole-time Director of the company with effect from February 24, 2020, up to February 23, 2025, or the age of 62 years -- whichever is earlier, by the members of the company at their annual general meeting (AGM) held in September 2020. PTC Industries setting up Rs 300-cr titanium recycling plant in Lucknow

Engineering component manufacturer PTC Industries is investing Rs 300 crore to set up a titanium recycling plant in Lucknow as it eyes to be an aerospace and defence supplier. PTC Industries is a high-precision metal components provider for super-critical industrial applications, including defence and aerospace companies. Its chairman and managing director Sachin Agarwal said the proposed capex is over and above the ongoing Rs 350-crore expansion at its titanium casting plant, and that the new investment will purely serve the aerospace and defence industry. "We have a 50-acre campus near the Brahmos facility, which already is our customer, in the Lucknow Defence Corridor. The proposed titanium recycling facility will be the first of its kind plant in the private sector in the country," Agarwal told PTI here on Friday. PTC India inks agreement for 115 MW power supply from VS Lignite Power

Power trading solution provider PTC India has inked a long-term power purchase agreement with VS Lignite Power for 115 MW of electricity supply. PTC India executed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for 115 MW with VS Lignite Power Pvt. Ltd, a company statement said. VS Lignite operates a 135-MW lignite-fired power plant in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The power plant sources fuel from a captive lignite mine near the project. The company is presently selling power to various discoms (power distribution companies) through short- term power sale agreements. PTC plans to explore various opportunities to sell this power to state utilities under long-term, medium-term and short-term power sale arrangements. PTC has a portfolio of long-term PPAs with 10,000 MW power capacity consisting of coal-based, large hydro and renewable energy projects.
