Telecom Cables company Sterlite Technologies announced Q1FY27 results Consolidated Financial Highlights: The total revenue from operations for Q1FY27 was reported at Rs 1,910 crore, reflecting a YoY growth of 87.44% from Rs 1,019 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 32.55% from Rs 1,441 crore in Q4FY26. Total income for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 1,922 crore, registering a YoY growth of 87.15% compared to Rs 1,027 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 31.28% from Rs 1,464 crore in Q4FY26. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached Rs 397 crore in Q1FY27, a substantial YoY increase of 183.57% from Rs 140 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ growth of 82.11% from Rs 218 crore in Q4FY26. Profit before tax (PBT) for the quarter was reported at Rs 257 crore, showcasing a significant YoY growth from Rs 13 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 135.78% from Rs 109 crore in Q4FY26. The net profit attributable to the owners of the company for Q1FY27 was Rs 197 crore, representing a robust YoY growth from Rs 10 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 233.90% from Rs 59 crore in Q4FY26. Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS) for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 4.03, compared to Rs 0.20 in Q1FY26 and Rs 1.21 in Q4FY26. The company reported a robust EBITDA margin of 20.8% in Q1FY27, compared to 13.7% in Q1FY26 and 15.1% in Q4FY26. Standalone Financial Highlights: Revenue from operations for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 929 crore, representing a YoY growth of 71.40% from Rs 542 crore in Q1FY26 and a QoQ increase of 23.54% from Rs 752 crore in Q4FY26. Total income for the quarter was reported at Rs 978 crore, compared to Rs 580 crore in Q1FY26 (YoY growth of 68.62%) and Rs 824 crore in Q4FY26 (QoQ increase of 18.69%). Profit before tax (PBT) for Q1FY27 was Rs 169 crore, significantly higher than Rs 3 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 50 crore in Q4FY26. Net profit for the standalone entity reached Rs 125 crore in Q1FY27, compared to Rs 2 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 33 crore in Q4FY26. EBITDA for Q1FY27 was Rs 251 crore, showing an increase from Rs 79 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 135 crore in Q4FY26. Business Highlights: Segment-wise Performance: Optical networking business: The segment reported revenue of Rs 1,842 crore in Q1FY27, up from Rs 961 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 1,378 crore in Q4FY26. The segment EBITDA for Q1FY27 was Rs 401 crore. Digital and technology solutions: Segment revenue was Rs 72 crore in Q1FY27, compared to Rs 64 crore in Q1FY26 and Rs 69 crore in Q4FY26. The segment EBITDA for Q1FY27 was Rs 2 crore. The company achieved a record open order book of Rs 18,618 crore at the end of Q1FY27. STL secured a landmark Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of Rs 1,500 crore, which enabled the company to become net debt-free with a net cash balance of Rs 483 crore. Major order wins during the quarter included a multi-year contract worth USD 1.11 billion (Rs 10,000+ crore) from a hyperscaler to supply optical connectivity products from FY27 to FY29. The company secured multiple hyperscaler orders worth 100 million+ USD for its Neuralis portfolio and a strategic order for long-haul, dark-fibre High Density Micro-cables. The optical connectivity attach rate reached 16% in Q1FY27, compared to 15% in FY26. Geographical revenue distribution for Q1FY27 showed Americas at 54%, Europe at 25%, and ROW at 22%.
