Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won new orders in its hydrocarbon and construction business. L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE), won orders in the Middle East and Africa, amounting to nearly Rs. 4000 crores. This includes an onshore EPC contract, for a large petrochemical facility in the Middle East.

The company has also won new orders for the supply of modularized structures and skids for ongoing refinery projects in the Middle East and Africa. These new projects, the management says, were won by the firm against international competitive bidding, beating out engineering giants in this space. 

In the meantime L&T Construction won orders worth Rs 1725 crores - a Rs. 725 crore contract from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for the four-laning of NH17 in Maharashtra, and a Rs. 1000 crore contract for civil engineering works.
