JK Tyre & Industries has come up with a marketing arm in the US to focus on sales, service and network expansion as announced on Monday, June 1, 2020. The company has set up a new entity, Western Tires Inc, based at Houston, Texas. Chennai Petroleum Corporation has recorded an inventory write down of Rs 1,456 crore due to the impact of Covid-19 on its operations. The company said in a filing to BSE, the international prices of crude crashed on account of poor demand in the wake of Covid-19 outbreak and the country wide lock-down affected its business operations. As per reports, Google has been eyeing stake in Vodafone Idea which has given an impetus to its stock price. Brokerage firm CLSA has issued a ‘buy’ rating on the stock with a 12-month price target of Rs 12. Vodafone Idea is listed in 36 screeners on Trendlyne.

IDFC Ltd: The shares of IDFC Ltd rose 12.2% to Rs 18.8 and around 13.7 million shares in volume have been traded so far. The stock price surged 31.6% since the last week and 35.4% since the last month. Three mutual including IDFC, Edelweiss and Kotak have warned investors of either near-term losses or poor returns in arbitrage schemes with spreads turning negative and causing money-making opportunities to shrink. These funds manage assets worth about Rs 55,000 crore. IDFC is listed in 28 screeners on Trendlyne.
