About 10 lakh shares of BEL changed hands in a block deal today. THe defence public sector company said that it has achieved a landmark turnover of more than Rs 10,000 crore (provisional and unaudited) during the financial year (FY) 2017-18, a growth of more than 13% over the previous year’s turnover of Rs 8,825 crore.
The company said it executed significant defence deals over the year that included air command systems, radar for weapons location, the akash weapon system, and so on. Analysts estimate that the current order book offers revenue coverage of over 4.7x, and say they expect pick-up in inflows going forward. Earnings are expected to grow 15%+ CAGR in the coming two years.
