Adani Transmission rises 32.5% in consolidated net profit
Based out of Ahmedabad and a business arm of Adani Group, Adani Transmission provides utility services and operates as a power transmission company. The company offers electricity generation, transmission and distribution services and also provides operation and maintenance support. It is engaged in transmission of electric energy and trading of castor oil.
Adani Transmission posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 203.7 crore during the third quarter of the present fiscal year, up 32.5% from Rs 153.7 crore in the year ago period. Operating profit rose to Rs 1,109.2 crore in Q3FY20 from Rs 1,026.3 crore in the corresponding quarter, last year while operating profit margin increased to 39.9% from 36.3% in Q3FY19.
Profit before tax was at Rs 304.5 crore in the third quarter ending December 31, 2019 versus Rs 215 crore in the same quarter, previous year. Total expenses were lower at Rs 2,477.7 crore as against Rs 2,656.7 crore in Q3FY19.
Adani Group Chairman, Gautam Adani commented on the results, “Adani Transmission Limited with its widespread network and continuous growth looks forward to expand its business at large. We are increasingly working towards building strong relations between India and other countries via acquisitions and partnerships to ensure improvisation in reliability of power supply and consumer satisfaction in our services”. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited sees a decline in the net profit
Headquartered in Bangalore, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is a state-owned aerospace and defence company. Governed under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence, the company is primarily involved in the operations of the aerospace along with the design, fabrication and assembly of aircraft, jet engines, helicopters and their spare parts.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited reported a total revenue at Rs 4,489.2 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2019 versus Rs 4,482.8 crore in the year ago period. Operating expenses were at Rs 3,614.7 crore in Q3FY20 as against Rs 3,413.4 crore in the corresponding quarter, previous year.
Operating profit was at Rs 841.8 crore in the third quarter of the present fiscal year as against Rs 755.3 crore in Q3FY19 while operating profit margin rose to 18.9% from 17.1% in the same quarter, last year. Net profit observed a decline at Rs 425.3 crore in Q3FY20 from Rs 455.2 crore in Q3FY19. Profit before tax fell to Rs 614 crore from Rs 683.5 crore in the third quarter of FY20.
