Rajesh Doraiswamy, Joint Managing Director, Salzer Electronics, said: “During the first quarter of the financial year, we delivered a resilient performance, reporting consolidated revenue of Rs 498.02 crore, representing a growth of 12.90% YoY. This performance reflects continued demand across our core business divisions, particularly Industrial, Copper and Building Products. While the quarter witnessed margin moderation to 6.3%, largely due to elevated raw material costs, particularly copper, Silver, and aluminium, amid continued volatility in global commodity markets. As these materials are key inputs across our switchgear business, including transformers and contactors, the sharp increase in input costs impacted margins across the industry. We are actively addressing these pressures through sourcing efficiencies, product mix optimisation, operational improvements and calibrated pricing measures. Importantly, the underlying demand environment remains very encouraging, supported by investments in power infrastructure, renewable energy, industrial automation, data centres and electrification, providing a strong foundation for sustainable growth. The steady performance of our switchgear and wire & cable divisions continues to be a strong backbone of our business. During the quarter, we continued to strengthen our strategic investments in emerging businesses and technologies. We made an additional investment of Rs 13.25 lakh in our wholly owned subsidiary, Salzer EV Infra Private Limited, taking our total investment to Rs 93.21 lakh. We also invested an additional Rs 168.64 lakh in Effilume Private Limited, our Associate Company, increasing our total investment to Rs 423.97 lakh and our equity stake to 46.85%. These investments reflect our continued focus on building capabilities in emerging areas and creating new growth opportunities that complement our core electrical solutions business. Going ahead, we remain optimistic on the long-term opportunities emerging from industrial automation, energy efficiency, smart infrastructure, renewable energy integration, railways, data centres, and smart electrical ecosystems. With our diversified product portfolio, strong manufacturing base, growing export presence, and continuous focus on innovation, we believe Salzer Electronics is well positioned for sustainable long-term growth. I thank the entire team at Salzer Electronics for their untiring efforts and all our stakeholders for their continued support and faith in our Company.” Result PDF
