    Jammu and Kashmir Bank, which crossed the Rs 2,000-crore profit mark in fiscal year 2024-25, aims to cross the Rs 5,000 crore profit milestone by 2030, its Managing Director and CEO Amitava Chatterjee has said. Chatterjee emphasized on the need for the bank to focus more on supporting the agriculture sector, while expanding its footprints in the rest of the country as part of its diversification plan. "The vision or aspiration of the bank is to cross Rs 5,000 crore profit by 2030. So that will be our way forward. Yes, we have increased the net profit by Rs 300-400 crore in the last fiscal. Obviously we would like to increase it by Rs 500 crore next year, but the ultimate vision is to cross Rs 5,000 crore by 2030," Chatterjee told PTI. He said the bank has been raising the bar each passing year by posting record profits for the past three financial years.     India sees maiden RMBS listing; NHB expects cos to raise Rs 10K cr in FY26

    The country's maiden residential mortgage-backed securities were listed on the market on Monday, and housing finance regulator NHB said it expects firms to raise over Rs 10,000 crore through the route this fiscal. The National Housing Bank-promoted RMBS Development Company (RDCL) listed the first-ever set of securities of Rs 1,000 crore maturing in 20 years with a coupon of 7.26 per cent payable monthly, on the NSE. NHB Managing Director and Chief Executive Sanjay Shukla said he expects up to 10 more such transactions in the fiscal year through which lenders will raise between Rs 10,000-12,000 crore. The listing done on Monday involves pass-through certificates of a pool of residential loans made by LIC Housing Finance, and the issue was fully subscribed. RDCL was set up in March by NHB to help home financiers access funding by giving up future receivables on a loan to investors. The move will also help term investors like pension funds and insurance companies will get investment .

    Indian Energy Exchange trade volumes grow 26% to 10,584 MUs in April

    Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has reported a 26 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in electricity trade volumes at 10,584 million units (MUs) in April. A total of 2.90 lakh renewable energy certificates (RECs) were traded in the trading sessions held on April 9 and April 30, at a clearing price of Rs 300/REC and Rs 350/REC respectively. The next REC trading sessions are scheduled on May 14 and May 28, the country's leading electricity exchange said in a statement. In the Day-Ahead Market (DAM), IEX achieved 4,231 MU volumes in April as compared to 4,116 MU in April last year, posting a y-o-y increase of 3 per cent. The volumes in the Real-Time Electricity Market (RTM) increased by 48 per cent y-o-y to 3,893 MUs in April from 2,629 MU in same month in 2024. IEX Green Market, comprising the Green Day-Ahead and Green Term-Ahead Market segments, achieved 782 MU volumes during April 2025 as compared to 402 MU in April 2024, registering an increase of 95 per cent YoY.
