Biotechnology company Biocon announced Q1FY27 results Consolidated Financial Highlights: Total Income: The consolidated total income for Q1FY27 was Rs 43,905 million, reflecting a decrease of 3.91% from Rs 45,691 million in Q4FY26, but an increase of 9.17% from Rs 40,216 million in Q1FY26. For the full year FY26, total income reached Rs 1,72,695 million. Revenue from Operations: Consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 43,360 million in Q1FY27, showing a growth of 10.00% YoY from Rs 39,419 million in Q1FY26 and a decrease of 4.00% QoQ from Rs 45,166 million in Q4FY26. Net Profit for the Period: The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,368 million in Q1FY27, representing a growth of 53.36% compared to Rs 892 million in Q1FY26. On a QoQ basis, profit decreased by 31.12% from Rs 1,986 million in Q4FY26. The net profit for the full year FY26 was Rs 3,688 million. Profit Before Tax (PBT): Consolidated PBT for Q1FY27 was Rs 1,276 million, compared to Rs 2,475 million in Q4FY26 (down 48.44%) and Rs 969 million in Q1FY26 (up 31.68%). Earnings Per Share (EPS): Basic and diluted EPS for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 0.87, compared to Rs 0.79 in Q4FY26 and Rs 0.26 in Q1FY26. The full year FY26 EPS was Rs 2.82. Standalone Financial Highlights: Total Income: Standalone total income in Q1FY27 was Rs 6,893 million, an increase of 5.32% from Rs 6,545 million in Q4FY26 and an increase of 15.19% from Rs 5,984 million in Q1FY26. For FY26, standalone total income was Rs 26,661 million. Revenue from Operations: Standalone revenue for Q1FY27 reached Rs 6,245 million, representing an increase of 3.27% QoQ from Rs 6,047 million in Q4FY26 and an increase of 16.27% YoY from Rs 5,371 million in Q1FY26. Net Profit: Standalone net profit for Q1FY27 stood at Rs 522 million, compared to Rs 510 million in Q4FY26 and a net loss of Rs 83 million in Q1FY26. The standalone net profit for FY26 was Rs 372 million. Profit Before Tax (PBT): Standalone PBT was Rs 699 million in Q1FY27, compared to Rs 574 million in Q4FY26 and a loss of Rs 76 million in Q1FY26. Earnings Per Share (EPS): Standalone basic and diluted EPS for Q1FY27 was Rs 0.32, compared to Rs 0.32 in Q4FY26 and a negative Rs 0.07 in Q1FY26. Business Highlights: Segment Performance: Biosimilars: This segment generated revenue of Rs 28,556 million in Q1FY27, up 3.63% from Rs 27,556 million in Q4FY26 and up 16.18% from Rs 24,578 million in Q1FY26. Segment profit before tax was Rs 1,714 million. Generics: Revenue from the Generics segment was Rs 7,597 million in Q1FY27, compared to Rs 7,760 million in Q4FY26 and Rs 6,303 million in Q1FY26. The segment reported a loss of Rs 309 million. Services: Revenue for the Services segment stood at Rs 7,360 million in Q1FY27, down from Rs 10,365 million in Q4FY26 and Rs 8,745 million in Q1FY26. The segment results showed a loss of Rs 57 million. Ownership Consolidation: Biocon Biologics Limited (BBL) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Biocon Limited effective June 29, 2026. This followed the acquisition of 1,15,36,956 equity shares of BBL from selling shareholders through a share swap transaction, for which 87,86,362 equity shares of Biocon Limited were allotted on a preferential basis. Subsidiary Liquidation: The Board and shareholders of Syngene International Limited approved the voluntary liquidation of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Syngene Manufacturing Limited, on June 15, 2026. Exceptional Items: Consolidated exceptional items in Q1FY27 included a net charge of Rs 135 million, primarily pertaining to termination benefits. Dividend: The Board of Directors of the company recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per equity share of face value Rs 5 for the financial year FY26, subject to shareholder approval.
