Delta Corp, the casino company and one of the darlings in Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's portfolio, announced its Q3FY17 results today, showing a decline in its standalone net profits from Rs. 8.02 crore in the 2015 December quarter, to Rs. 1.76 crore this quarter. Total income fell from Rs. 64.4 crore for the comparable quarter last year, to Rs. 50.78 crore in this year's Q3.

The company's flagship casino in Goa, the floating Deltin Royale, had been non-operational for 22 days in October due to maintenance which resulted in a drop in gaming revenue. The results also indicate a sharp drop due to demonetization.
