Yesterday, The great Eastern Shipping Company signed a contract to buy a Medium Range Product Tanker of about 48,539dwt. The vessel is 2005 Japanese built and will probably join the company's fleet in Q2 FY17. Company's current fleet has a total of 33 ships. Among these 33 ships, 23 of them are tankers that include seven crude carriers, 14 product tankers, and 2 LPG carriers. The remaining ten dry bulk carriers among which 5 are Kamsarmax and 5 are Supramax. The vessels have an average age of 9.97 years aggregating 2.48 mn dwt. I
