Markets close higher, Gland Pharma subscribed 1.5 times on final day
Markets rose in today's trading. Nifty 50 closed at 12749.15 (118.1, 0.9%) , BSE Sensex closed at 43593.67 (316.0, 0.7%) while the broader Nifty 500 closed at 10356.50 (87.5, 0.9%)

Market breadth is holding steady. Of the 1683 stocks traded today, 812 were on the uptick, and 764 were down.

Mixed broker recommendations for Pidilite Industries following its Q2 performance, as ICICI Securities signals a 'Buy,' Prabhudas Lilladher a 'Hold' and Dolat Capital a 'Reduce' on the chemical company.


Gland Pharma subscribed 1.5 times across on the final day of bidding. The public offering comprises of a fresh issue and an OFS of a total of 43.1 crore shares for Rs. 6,479.5 crores.


SFK India, Century Plyboards, Huhtamaki PPL, Trent, and Aster DM Healthcare are trading with volume at least 4 times higher than the weekly average volume.

Aarti Industries is falling as it reports net profit for the quarter at Rs. 143.5 crores, a drop of 5.4% against the year-ago period, with revenue increasing by 18.6%.
