CPI inflation increases to 3.6% in October CPI inflation or retail inflation rose to 7-month high at 3.6% in October as compared to 3.3% in previous month mainly driven by high vegetables and fuel prices. Inflation came higher than market expectation of 3.4% as vegetables' prices unexpectedly rose by 7.5% in October (3.9% in Sep'17) driven by rise in the prices of onions and tomatoes due to weather related disruption in supplies.
