PowerGrid InvIT Q3 net dips 6% to Rs 216 cr, income declines to Rs 331 cr

Powergrid Infrastructure Investment Trust on Tuesday reported a more than six per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 216.82 crore in the December 2022 quarter. The consolidated net profit was Rs 232.63 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2021, a BSE filing showed. The total income also declined to Rs 331.06 crore in the quarter from Rs 342.18 crore a year ago. "The Board of Directors of Powergrid Unchahar Transmission Ltd the Investment Manager to Powergrid Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT), also approved declaration of distribution of Rs three per unit for the quarter ended December 31, 2022, comprising Rs 2.01 per unit as interest, Rs 0.43 per unit as a taxable dividend, Rs 0.25 per unit as an exempt dividend, Rs 0.30 per unit as repayment of SPV Debt and Rs 0.01 per unit as treasury income. Bharat Highways InvIT files draft papers with Sebi to raise Rs 2,000 cr

Infrastructure investment trust Bharat Highways InvIT has filed draft prospectus with the capital markets regulator Sebi to mop-up Rs 2,000 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). Proceeds of the issue will be used to repay certain loans obtained by the Project SPVs (special purpose vehicles) and for general corporate purposes, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). These SPV projects include Porbandar-Dwarka Expressway, Varanasi-Sangam Expressway, GR Sangli-Solapur Highway, GR Akkalkot-Solapur Highway, GR Phagwara Expressway and GR Gundugolanu-Devarapalli Highway. Bharat Highways InvIT was set up in August 2022 to acquire 100 per cent stake in each of Project SPVs from GR Infrastructure Ltd including GDDHPL, wherein the InvIT proposes to initially acquire 49 per cent stake. Govt mulling to double retail component in NHAI InVIT bonds: Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said the retail component in NHAI's InVIT bonds will be doubled to 50 per cent. Speaking at a meeting held here virtually, the Union minister for road transport and highways said the debut issue of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) infrastructure investment trust (InVIT) got a good response, and every common citizen of the country can play a role in nation building by helping finance the infrastructure. "We have reserved 25 per cent of InVIT bond for retail investors. Now we are planning to increase this limit to 50 per cent," Gadkari said. Citizens can invest anything upward of Rs 10,000 and get a return of 8.5 per cent per annum on their investments, Gadkari said, thanking the investor community for the over subscription of seven times in the maiden bond issuance of Rs 1,500 crore which listed last month.
