The Haryana government has launched an initiative to strengthen cyber security and protect public data as governance increasingly shifts to digital platforms. The initiative, 'Haryana Digital Kavach', announced by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in the 2026-27 state budget, aims to enhance cyber resilience and safeguard government digital infrastructure against evolving cyber threats, an official statement said on Saturday. As part of the initiative, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication (DITEC), in association with the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID) and with the support of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), organised a state-level consultation workshop in Chandigarh. Centre to refer 'Satluj' to committee under IT Rules after takedown

The Centre plans to refer the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer "Satluj" to an Inter-Departmental Committee (IDC) constituted under the IT Rules 2021 for a detailed examination and future course of action, government sources said on Tuesday, two days after streaming platform ZEE5 was directed to take down the film over "security concerns". The film, which was earlier titled "Punjab '95" and details the life of activist Jaswant Singh Khalra in Punjab in the turbulent 1990s when the state was reeling under terrorism, was stuck with the censors for more than three years. Released uncut on ZEE5 under the new title of "Satluj" on July 3, the film was removed from the platform on July 5. Fusion CX to invest 100 cr in Bengal Silicon Valley campus, plans 9k jobs

Fusion CX, a multinational customer experience and business process solutions provider, said it will invest Rs 100 crore over the next three years to set up an IT and ITeS campus at the Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub in New Town near Kolkata. The Kolkata-headquartered company said it has secured 1.06 acres of land in Action Area II for the proposed project, which will house an 11-storeyed facility with a built-up area of around 2 lakh square feet. The upcoming campus is expected to generate employment for more than 9,000 people at full capacity and further strengthen West Bengal as Fusion CX's largest offshore delivery cluster. "West Bengal offers a lot of potential. We are hopeful that the new government will make the investment climate conducive. We will invest around Rs 100 crore over the next three years in this facility.
