Fundamentals Strategy: Growth Companies in Tech Screener

Fundamentals Strategy: Growth Companies in Tech Screener

One of the popular screeners on the platform identifies growth companies, focusing on tech stocks that have shown rising net profits, revenues, and ROCE (returns on capital employed). This strategy has been backtested three times: in the beginning on 2018, and in March 2018 for Nifty500 and tech stocks, after the most recent results rolled out. The strategy has held steady so far, improving the returns for an investor focused on fundamentals, delivering 40%+ annual returns on average for all nifty500 stocks, and 32%+ for only tech stocks.

This strategy chose 8K Miles Software in June 2015, before it entered the analysts' radar. As a result, that stock alone delivered 162% returns for the strategy.

Stocks being bought by their promoters, with reasonable valuation scores: Chambal Fertilizers, KEC

Stocks being bought by their promoters, with reasonable valuation scores: Chambal Fertilizers, KEC

A popular shareholding screener is the one where promoters are increasing their shareholding, as per the most recent filings to BSE.  Promoters buying their company stocks is typically seen as a promising sign - indicating that promoters see prospects for their company's future. With share prices falling in recent days, there may also be a strong buying opportunity in some stocks.

Chambal Fertilizers for example, is seeing promoters buying stocks as well as a higher valuation score (click on fundamentals on the table to see scores and other metrics). This is also the case for KEC International, which is also seeing a higher momentum score. For the full screener, click here.
